Reliable, Modern Braces

We offer several types of braces for children, teens and adults.

How Braces Work Today

Braces have evolved significantly over the past few decades. Today's orthodontic systems use continuous, gentle force to carefully guide teeth into their proper positions. This approach improves not just the appearance of your smile, but the overall function and health of your bite.

  • Smaller Brackets: Modern brackets are significantly less bulky, making them more comfortable against your cheeks and lips.
  • Advanced Wires: We use heat-activated archwires that respond to the natural temperature of your mouth to maintain consistent, gentle pressure.

American-Made Braces

Our braces come from American Orthodontics, a family-owned manufacturer in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. They have been built in the US since 1968, the same year our practice opened.

Early Treatment for Children

We recommend an initial orthodontic evaluation around age seven to check development. While most children will not need braces this early, it allows us to monitor jaw growth and intervene only if necessary.

Phase I, for children roughly ages six to ten, addresses developing dental and jaw issues early and can sometimes prevent more complex care later. Phase II follows once most or all permanent teeth have come in, focusing on alignment and the bite.

Life with Braces

Adapting to braces is a straightforward process. With proper care and a few simple adjustments to your routine, you'll be on your way to a healthier smile.

Brushing & Flossing

Excellent oral hygiene is critical. You'll need to brush carefully around the brackets and under the wires, and use specialized floss threaders to clean between your teeth daily.

Eating Habits

Stick to softer foods, especially right after your checkups. Avoid sticky, chewy, or hard foods that can break wires or loosen brackets. Small changes keep your treatment on track.

Regular Checkups

You will visit us every six to eight weeks for adjustments and progress checks. Mild soreness after an adjustment is normal, and orthodontic wax can help you stay comfortable.
